I had 2 ectopic pregnancies and was treated surgically twice. These days my doctor might not do it out if fear of prosecution, and I could have died. What is wrong with people?

I don't think the people who so adamantly inflict their ideals onto others actually understand the biology of these things. I think they have an idea and cherish it as a beacon without actually understanding the potential cruelties of riding the life and death seesaw of a pregnancy.

I was probably worse than anyone with voting for the GOP. I moved on from my former party in 2022. It's taken some time to realize it, but I truly feel emotionally lifted. I was always angry but didn't know why. My grandchild asks me "Pappy why you don't talk to us anymore". I didn't have an answer, until I was watching FOX news, while everyone else was laughing and enjoying each other. I realized in that moment; I was allowing strangers to dictate what love and decency meant. I cried for weeks and had to apologize for my actions and/or lack thereof. I'm voting "BLUE" all the way this year. I even enjoy the cookouts again!!!

I love that because I'm in the UK, attached to this video is a message from our NHS basically saying "Don't worry, it's not like that here. Abortion is healthcare, please call your doctor." I hope the women of America go on strike until you get your rights back.
Lots of us are. I'm bi and have completely sworn off men. The risk-benefit is SO lopsided, it's not even worth considering dating a man. the term sounds stupid because it is (it contradicts itself), and was a rebranding. referenced in ONE solitary article. it (what the term is used to describe) is considered infanticide or child euthanasia, but was only used in cases of severe physical abnormalities, incurable conditions, extreme pain, etc. often, conditions which were not fully or even partially detected in the womb.
Allowing an infant or a child who has a terminal illness to die peacefully and with dignity is no different than allowing an adult to do so. It’s called Palliative Care which is a form of treatment and generally Hospice is involved.

My wife has irregular periods due to PCOS. She was taking birth control pills to regulate her period. Unfortunately, she works for a diocese and they won't cover her pills. These close-minded zealots think that we're trying to prevent getting pregnant even though my wife is in her 40s and we have two grown kids.

The people pushing no birth control don’t understand that some people take it to be functional. Before birth control my cramps and bleeding was so bad I couldn’t leave bed to go to school, it hurt to leave my bed to use the rest room the cramps were that bad. But if I brought up that was the reason some of these crazies wouldn’t listen to me
I've been on birth control for 18 years and it's never caused me any side effects. I just switched mine to a lower dosage because my husband got sniped and I just don't want to have a period so I haven't had a period in ....7 months now. It's been great

My niece was the same way. I am actually only a few years older than her, so it was my first time hearing that could happen. Birth control at 13 was her savior.
I also later found out that my mother suffered a similar issue often - once bleeding for three weeks straight.
In my case my periods were irregular and extremely light for years until I got on birth control. So many different reasons why birth control should be accessible for all!
I don't understand why younger men aren't absolutely terrified by this idea .
Someone needs to tell men between the ages of 14 and 25 that eliminating hormonal contraception doesn't mean that women will have the two or three children that Republicans and theocrats want white women to have. It means women will have seven, 10, 15, 18 children.
Someone needs to remind young men that there is no job in this country that will pay them enough to support a female romantic partner who could be pregnant and nursing for 20 years of her adult life.
I get that there are a lot of young heterosexual men who love the idea of women being economically and culturally dependent on the approval of men. But they need to understand the cost to them if men control what contraception women have access to. I don't know any married man with kids who has any interest in being in charge of the birth control.

At 22 weeks they do a test to determine certain genetics defects that are incomparable with life.
The irony that they get rid of Roe v. Wade because it shouldn't be at the national level BUT they can totally have an abortion ban at that level. They are so very very transparent.
The distinction is the existence or not of a national law. Roe allowed abortion without requiring a national law to explicitly make it legal. The overturning or Roe makes national abortion default to state laws unless and until a national law is passed. Congress could have passed a national access to abortion law at any time after Roe or even now.
It is my personal hope that we can fix the fundamental flaws of lack of representation in Congress, such as updating the number of the house of representatives with population, welcoming the new states of PR and DC should they choose to pursue statehood, and fundamental voting rights protections and enforcements with abolishment of the winner take all systems, along with real campaign finance reform and the overturning of arguably the worst SC ruling in history of Citizens United that have all resulted in the disconnect between the population of the US and Congress/leaders we have today.

She got baby fever and I got child support payments.

I know a couple who used "natural birth control". They had three children. Husband got the snip snip.
I had four in a row and despite preventative methods.(4 within 5 years).

Just watched a documentary about women in Afghanistan and how they are being treated. The only difference I can make out compared to the States is that American women don’t have to wear Handmaids‘ Tale uniforms yet.
I'm an old man and don't have a dog in this fight, but it makes me furious that the GQP thinks they can deny women their reproductive rights and freedoms and even endanger their lives because of some religious nonsense, therefore, I will only vote for candidates who respect women's rights on this issue. While controlling women’s reproduction may be the reason some people oppose abortion, it’s not the reason for all. Some oppose it on religious and moral grounds, for example. Don’t forget, one of the Supreme Court Justices who voted to overturn Roe vs Wade is a female. Framing it as merely a matter of control overly simplifies an incredibly complex issue. So too do those who argue that women who choose an abortion do so without deliberation, soul searching and emotional anguish.
